omega 176.0012 Posted By: Paul K Hi all, received my first old school Omega today (am new to this but enthusiastic, have a couple of Heuers and old tissots), the lemania 5100 driven speedmaster 176.0012. Once you've gone vintage [in particular 1970's vintage] you might never go back. What a great watch, plus sorry to say but i'm loving the exchange rate from US to UK (US ebay purchase). For folks in the UK and Euro land... What's not to love? I wouldn't be sorry in the least! I miss when the Euro was only worth about 75 to 85 cents, instead of $1.48 [OUCH] Got it for £450, so happy with this. I consider the 176.0012 to be among the three Omega chronographs I recommend to folks just starting out and buying watches. The other two being the Mark II Professional and the Seamaster Professional Chronograph-Chronometre c.1164 [Valjoux 7750]. Follpw the link for my reasoning on the topic. all the Best Congratulations and wear it in great health! Paul. |
