I also have a small wrist (6 3/4 to 7 inches) and wear the full size Bond. With the watch sitting just behind my wrist bone, it does just about cover the width of my arm. I tried the mid-size and I thought it looked like a ladies watch on my wrist. I believe Derek mentioned in another post that your height has more to do with the appearance of the watch than the circumference of your wrist. I am inclined to agree. The fact that I am 6ft tall, seems to keep the full size Bond from overpowering my arm. That same height overpowers the mid-size however.
Ultimately, get what you are most comfortable with, not what others tell you to buy.
