: Also - I'd like to remind everyone that Chuck did not have the type
: of relationship with Omega that, for example, Jeff has with
: Tag/Heuer. I think that ANY usage of Chuck's name being attached
: to a new Omega (even a 5100 powered 376.0822 re-issue) is a
: dicey proposition at best. Let's not forget Chuck's public and
: very vocal lambasting of the current management and product line
: at Omega.
: Just my 2 cents. (Actual value less than 2 cents.)

I have a hard time coming up with a modern watch that Chuck owned, Omega or otherwise. Chuck was a vintage chronograph guy . . . and a tool watch guy. While Omega dubbing a reissue after him would be very cool, that doesn't fit with the Chuck I knew (relatively briefly). In fact, the Alaska Project was the only new watch I believe I ever heard him say he was going to buy.
Vintage was Chuck's baliwick and the vintage arena is the proper place to show respect to him.
another two cents
