My further (slightly clarified) thought's on a "Maddox"...

There is no dispute that Chuck purchased at least a few new Omega's and may have purchased more...I was actually trying to address Steve's comment below, as this is not an uncommon sentiment and has been voiced one more than one forum:

BTW. If anyone from Omega is reading this ... Please re-issue this
watch in a limited edition. Package & Sell it as the
"Maddox" Speedmaster. It will sell like hotcakes :-)

I was merely checking in with an opinion that Chuck appeared to have a fantastic relationship with some of the folks at the Omega Museum and in Vintage Watches and appeared to have tenuous relationship with current management within the company.

As such, I don't think we should push Omega for offical recognition of Chuck, for fear that his name might be "corrupted" and be attached to a product he loathed, i.e. a Co-Ax powered Speedmaster.

Conversely, I do think that we should continue to push forward in our efforts to "dedicate" a vintage chrono (like the Grail) to Chuck, but within the watch enthusiast community.

Also - I am merely offering up an opinion for discussion and welcome any and all thoughts. Like everyone else, I am merely trying to think of a great way to pay tribute to a great man that was dedicated to helping people.

Regards,

John
