My first watch for
I discovered eBay many years ago, ng before I knew of Chuck. I automatically started looking at Omegas & quickly decided that I needed a flightmaster. I bought a 910 from Canada. It was OK, but be 100% honest I was a little bit disappointed. The curved crystal wasn't what I was expecting.
Sometime later I discovered Chucks website & started to communicate with him. He posted on a forum about the differences between the 910 & 911. I knew from that day onwards that I HAD to have a 911. I remember replying to Chuck & "thanking" him for giving me enough information to make it impossible NOT to buy a 911 :-)
I bought one of the German eBay quite cheaply. It was a wreck ! but the price reflected that & I had the attitude that I'd try it, if I liked it I'd buy a better example.
Obviously I loved the watch. I have said many times it is my favourite Omega. I had mine refurbished by Omega in Switzerland in 2005/2006.
Anyway enough blabber. This is my favourite Omega & I'd like to thank Chuck for "convincing" me that the 910 & 911 are two completely different watches.
& finally here's a comparison shot of the 910 & 911
