Re: Scan Day / Weekend -- Chuck's Watches *LINK*

Here are some ideas:
: the watch or watches that Chuck "made you buy", either
: by something he said, something he wrote, or maybe a photo that
: he posted
: the watch that Chuck taught you about, so that you "had to
: have" one
: the watch that you know Chuck respected or admired
: the watch that Chuck might have named (EOG, Grail,
: Half-a-Chronograph, etc.)
: any other watch or watches that you think of, when you think of
: Chuck
:

I think I will always think of Omegamania -- both the auction and the Beverly Hills showing -- and think of Chuck. That's where I met him and began to call and correspond regularly thereafter.

Chuck posted this as the first photos of the 50th Anniversary Speedmaster after his visit to Beverly Hills in February 2007 . . . .

Typical Maddox humor.

And later I won a TZ Ladies Watch of Year drawing and ended up with this swag, posted with a Snoopy Speedy . . .

Which of course led to . . . .

Chuck discussed his "Lobstertail Speedsonic" and was critical in getting my watch restored. He gave me a an extra link for the bracelet in Beverly Hills.

We talked for hours after the first day of Omegamania . . . . . I bought what may have been the only watch in the auction that Chuck wanted and didn't already have. A watch Chuck named . . . the Teutonic Speedy Moon

I'm proud to say I measured and weighed it and Chuck added it to his dimensions table. Ever the gentleman, he, of course, gave me credit . . . (see the bottom)

There are other watches . . . but I'll save the stories for another time.
