Dropped by my local authorized Omega dealer (Ben Bridge). I wanted to see about having the bracelet on my SMP snugged up by removing one of the half links. Well, when he found out to his horror that I didnt get it from him he told me that I needed proof that it wasnt a gray market watch before he would touch it. I told him that I didnt have a problem paying to have the link removed at which point he stated that even an Omega service center would not service the watch paying customer or not! He didnt want the international warranty card he wanted a copy of the receipt! Like he would even know who in the world was authorized at a glance!
I then showed interest in a Speedmaster date and he told me the price was $1800 and I asked if there were any discounts...no was the reply but we give triple warranty. Of course they would have to send it away for just about anything since they really dont service them there. So Im thinking....I would rather save $500 US from Ashford than take do business with this Bozo! Anyone else seen this?
