As long as the SuperLuminova marks in the dial get properly excited by any source of light. Its reaction varies widely if exposed to natural versus artificial light. Direct exposure to sunlight allows you to see it in full, glowing detail. However, it may be impractical at night, since most of light sources are totally artifical.

My experience with the Bond SMP tells me that, compared to other watches, it is the photo-sensitive compound (SuperLuminova) that makes the difference, not the geometry or shape of the hands. This holds true for any watch, since I have already tested it against three different watches, with solid, larger hands.
