I think if this is a defect that bothers you, you deserve to have one that is without defect.
Demand a repair, a discount or return the watch for a pleasing one. The Dealer that is not empathetic is not the one you deserve. These are not cheap. An authorized dealer should be able to open the watch without hurting it and provided the repair is good, you will have one that has been detailed to your satisfaction.
My opinion but you should not feel uncomfortable with your new watch.
