: Hi Derek: Impulse buying is part of the Omega
: affliction which has no known cure.
: I took a look...those are very nice watches
: indeed. I like the 70's style cases. I've
: got a Seamaster with a 24 jewel mechanical
: movement that is styled much like the ones
: you bought.
: My hummers have an intergrated bracelet...a
: screw passes through the lugs to secure it.
: One has a deep blue dial with all stainless
: case and is a Constellation Chonometer
: model. The other has a gold dial with gold
: accented case and bracelet and is a
: Seamaster Chronometer model. The case
: styling is somewhat different from the
: pillow cases, with the lugs having a concave
: curve rather than the convex rounded look.
: Have you received the watches yet?
Yours sound interesting - I'll re-phrase that - yours look interesting (I can't hear them at this distance). Yes, I have had 1271 for several days trying it, but 596 arrived this morning and has gained 4 seconds in 7 hours! Being 18 carat gold it is immensely heavy (OK by me). I am a bit disappointed with the lugs and mount which is machined with fine grooves. My watchmaker says they could be ground out and the surface polished when I have the watch serviced. Apart from that it is most attractive, in my eyes anyway. The other one, 1271, has already insisted that I keep it and I am very pleased with both of them. But my bank manager is worried to hear there is no known cure for the Omega disease! Best wishes. Derek D
