Re: Buffing Scratches
In Response To: Buffing Scratches ()

: Question for the expert watch collectors here.

: What are your preferred methods for buffing out the scractches
: on the back of the clasps on your favorite stainless
: Omegas?

: I have enjoyed some success with other makes (Tag Heuer,
: Seiko, etc.) using a very fine grit emery cloth. Someone
: mentioned in a post that Omega may sell a cloth for this
: purpose. Does anyone know where to buy such a cloth?

: Compulsive Seamaster owner appreciates the info.

Tim,

trust me...take the watch to a jeweler. I had the same problem and my local jeweler buffed the scratches right out. Also, I have heard that a very fine grit, smooth file (for nails) works wonders on the brushed finish.

regards,

fib
