Not true. Overall the mechanical SMPs stay within 2 seconds per day, the quartz SMPs stay within 2 seconds a month. Both quite excellent, but no where near close enough to call them "every bit as accurate."

Not true either. The mechanical models sell NEW for about $350 more at retail price or $200-250 more at typical street prices than the comparable quartz model. Yet when used, the mechanical sells for only about $70-100 more.

Based on my analysis of street and resale prices, a mechanical SMP resells at reputable used watch dealers for about 55% of its retail price (75% of its typical street price). While the quartz resels for about 65% of retail (85% of street price).

So the quartz SMP models actually come it a 10 percentage points better on resale value than their mechanical sisters.

That is exceptional performance for a mechanical watch! You are most fortunate. But understand that just because your mechanical watch matches quartz accuracy does not mean everyone else's will too.
