Re: GMT clasp change
In Response To: GMT clasp change ()

: Has anyone changed the clasp on their GMT from
: the single button slide clasp to a Seamaster
: Pro double button deployment clasp ??? Any
: help would be much appreciated.

What's important here is what EXACTLY are you changing?

Are you replacing the single-side button clasp and a few links with the two-button depl. clasp

-OR-

Are you replacing the ENTIRE bracelet? Either can be done.

Replacing the entire bracelet is easier and requires a special plastic tool to slide the pins across so the whole bracelet can be removed.

Replacing the "segments" of each bracelet is trickier. I would take the current bracelet off the watch, lay both bracelets side-by-side and determine which segments must be removed and re-attached. You MUST read the section on this site regarding the pins in Seamaster links. I would suggest getting a pin removing tool (do a search on this site).

If you are risk-aversive, bring the "whole thing" to an Omega auth. dealer or any good independent jeweler that has Omega experience. Good luck, MMC
