Re: Speedy Bracelet for 2531.80
In Response To: Speedy Bracelet for 2531.80 ()

: I love my Bond watch but I just can't get used
: to the Bond Bracelet. The bracelet is a bit
: too busy for my tastes, especially when I
: look at the the head of the watch which is
: busy enough itself with the wave pattern.
: Instead of setting off the face of the
: watch, I feel the bracelet detracts my eye
: from it.

: Shouldn't the bracelet be like landscaping for
: a building? Landacaping should enhance the
: appearance of the building without
: detracting from it. The only reason for
: doing otherwise would be if the building was
: so unattractive that you wanted to draw
: attention away from it. Getting back to
: watches, I feel the Bond bracelet draws
: attention away from the watch head.

: Wouldn't a more simple Speedy bracelet look
: better? I haven't seen a bond watch with a
: speedy bracelet but would imagine, because a
: Speedy is more simply stated, that it would
: frame the watch face rather than fight with
: it. Can these bracelets be purchased only
: through authorized Omega dealers? How much
: should you expect to pay?

I actually like how the bond bracelet looks on the Bond watch and would only go with a speedy bracelet if it were the newer Seamaster.

Omega bracelets probably can only be purchased NEW from authorized dealers.

I think that the bracelets list for around $3-400 retail.

You might want to check the sales corner at timezone.com for a used one.
