Is elegance bracelet right for a diving watch?

I agree the Bond Bracelet is more elegant, but is that elegance really in tune with the character of a diving watch that has a rotating blue minute bezel, and a helium escape valve? While people do wear the Bond for all occasions and not just diving, the Bond watch is not meant at all to be a formal dress watch, is it? So why should it have such an elegant bracelet? That would be like dressing up my new Jordan tennis shoes with a tuxedo, just so I could wear my tennis shoes to a more formal event. It doesn't make my tennis shoes look any more dressy than the bond bracelet makes a Bond diving watch look more dressy. In both cases you just look silly.

: I agree that speedy bracelet look
: "cleaner" on the Seamaster with
: black dial/bezel. However, there are people
: who have seamasters with BOTH bond and
: speedy bracelets. They would tell you that
: under DIRECT comparison, they prefer bond
: bracelet for its "elegance". Not
: just one person states this, many people who
: have both bracelets said so.

: So, all in all, we think we like the cleaner
: speedy look, but in reality, under direct
: comparison, most people would prefer bond
: bracelet.

: Yes, you can get the Seamaster with speedy
: bracelet. You can look under Ashford.com.
: Their seamaster with back dial/bezel comes
: with speedy bracelet.
