In my case my SMP Chronometer was +2 - 3 sec/24h for the first 3 weeks. On the 4th week it was about +2 - +1,5 sec/24h.
During this time I had the watch on the wrist 24/7. A week ago (about 5 weeks after the purchase) I started to take it off at night placing it crown down and during the last couple of days its just maybe about a fraction of a second fast.
It will probably slow down some more. I'll just wait and see..
So don't dispare!
Give it a month or two...

This is one of the things that I like about mech watches! It can take some time from you whenever it wants but it will eventually give it back to you. Or vice versa :-)
Buy a quartz and it will be consistently fast or slow every day for ever and ever until the battery runs down...
