The rare Seamaster Professional with a display back is an over $20,000 watch--so I really doubt that is what you have. But to see it, check out the Seamaster section of the GALLERIES here and look at the Seamaster Skeleton.

The NEW Seamaster Aqua Terra (a dress-style, not diver's style watch) does come with a display back.

But besides those two, I don't believe any other Seamasters have come from the factory with display backs. So your watch sounds like either an aftermarket display back on a genuine watch-or-it is a fake.

It is really hard to try to tell you enough to be certain you will make the right diagnosis on its authenticity. Any way you can post a photo here so people with more experience can judge it?

Also, what specific Seamaster model is it supposed to be and where did you get it?
