I have one, extremely accurate...
In Response To: speedmaster/day-date ()

: me, is it a good watch..is it reliable, does

Probably best buy in Omega value/price. Mine is 2,5 months old, runs great, varies about 2 secs a day and compensates for them overnight. This morning, it was where I set it on DST change, 4 weeks ago. Exactly where I set it then! I hope I will not have to touch crown until next DST and expect it to be within 2 seconds of correct time (I was ignoring my unusuall experiments in these statements).

Movement is Valjoux 7751, very relialbe, proven and with many spare parts, used by most watch companies for their chronograph.

Black dial is very busy but well readabile. But, I wear only chronographs, so I might be accustomed to them. Blue and white dial versions are hard to read since they glitter and sparkle too much. Only remakr is that I can not read easily subsecond markings on 4 seconds next to each dial. Date display is not perfect since it covers chronograph subdials up to 9 days a month, I prefer Zenith El Primero style.

: the black finish on the outer dial resist to
: moderate everyday use?

I do not bang it around, but probaly as well as can be expected. I do not have ans signs of use on it.

: expect off the retail price? thank you all for

I paid 1400 Euros (without taxes) at Omega Official Dealer in Europe.

I have written many posts on Omega triple date and have provided ew of my pictures on it. If you want to read out lots of my findings about it, and comments on movement or accuracy, search for my posts here, in timezone.com and watcuseek.com Omega forums. Search for Davor as an author.
