that both were introduced in Basel 98 and released to the market.

The official 150th anniversary type is however reference 2232.30.00, which is a limited edition (1848 units) and delivered in the special diving tank package, etc.

The Seamaster Titanium with the blue dial (Ref. 2232.80.00) was only released at the same time, and refered to as a "standard" type, etc.

Excerpt from a mail I got from German Omega product development. I was so curious, because I never understood why there would be a "series", also because the 150th anniversary is over and was 2 years ago. Normally there is also just one offical anniversary watch and some are even more limited, the 50th anniversary skeleton Seamaster e.g. (what a watch!).

regards,
Andreas
