Pie Pan Questions

Hello,

I'm seriously considering buying a vintage Omega.
I currently have a quartz Seamaster 120, and a
Speedy auto. I figure a vintage Constellation
will make a nice addition. The look of the pie
pan face really appeals to me.

Is there anything special I need to know about
purchasing a vintage watch? I've been checking
all the on-line places, artoftime, watchseller,
bernard, wingate, etc. Anywhere else to look?

Regarding budget, I'd like to keep the price
under $500 (really in the $300 range but I would
spend more for a really perfect watch). I don't
care about gold face or anything like that,
steel is nice too.

So, am I crazy, or can this be done? Finally,
if anyone knows of good stores in the NY Metro
area that carry vintage Omega's, I'd love to
hear it.
