Repeat after me - "It's not real, it's not real, it's not real...."

To be honest, I don't think the grappling hook in the watch is as implausible as some of the gadgets Bond has used over the years.

How about the magnetic Rolex that can attract a metal compressed air bullet, but doesn't attract any other metallic items in the vicinity ? (Live and Let Die)

Or a jetboat that can dive underwater, but has no enclosed cockpit or breathing apparatus ? (The World is not Enough)

Or an autogyro armed with heatseeking missiles that can lock-on to targets directly BEHIND ? (You Only Live Twice)

Or surface-to-air missiles the size of fireworks that can take out a helicopter ? (The World is not Enough)

There are probably dozens more.
The fact that you have listed your ten favourite gadgets shows that you obviously enjoyed the movies. Some people even complained that their Omega Seamasters weren't as tough as Bond's.....!

Many of the gadgets totally defy the laws of physics, but that doesn't spoil my enjoyment.
Lighten Up ! :-)
