Restore Speedmaster Professional

I recently acquired my father's Speedmaster Professional he purchased in the early 1970's. I wore the watch for a short while when the crystal popped off. Inside, on the edges of the face where the crystal sits, there was corrosion and oxidation. I have always loved this watch and its history. I would like to restore it to its original worker order. How much should expect to pay to restore this beauty? I took it to a local jewler who is certified to repair Rolex etc. and received a $550.00 estimate. On the Omega web-site SGUS in Secaucus NJ is listed as a service center. Has anyone dealt with them before or do you reccommend anyone else. I live in NJ. Thanks for helping, I am glad I found this site.
