to take the info reference our debate about Rolex and Omega movements and simplify things :
ROLEX - independant company ? therefore had to take the manufacture of movements back in-house due to all the major players in the swiss watch industry buying up all the movement manufacturers and there not being a guarantee that they would still be supplied with movements if the company they used were to be bought up by a competitor.

OMEGA-because they are part of the swatch group, and swatch bought up most of the movement manufacturers then there is absolutely no need to make their own movements, but in a way, they still do (through other companies within the swatch group) ?

thats how it read to me !
