Re: Removing Serial Numbers from a Watch is Pretty

: They have defaced your new watch. It is
: illeagal to own a watch in my state which
: has the Serial Number removed. My insurance
: company will not cover it, they require a
: Serial Number. How do you prove it is yours?
: How do you know it wasn't stolen? Will Omega
: even service it after your warranty is up?
: How long will this internet company be
: around to fill it's Warrany obligation? All
: this to cover the A$$ of the supplier. Now
: that is customer service. Can you tell I'm
: passionate on this subject? BTW - 33.7%
: discount is not that great comming from a
: gray market source. Especially one who
: removes Serial Numbers. I would get a refund
: if possible. I would talk to your Credit
: Card company and try to dispute the charge.

All very true. I also like to know what "it" is I'm getting, serial numbers included. I guess it depends on what "item" we're talking about.

But, since I'm not planning on getting insurance on my watch (not sure what is worse really - insurance companies or a watch dealer that removes serial numbers) -- I don't mind paying less for a slightly altered version.
