In Response To: how bad is date setting? ()

: So, my question is, how bad is it for your
: watch if you continue this and is it ONLY
: after 8PM, or is it 8AM also? I'm thinking
: only 8PM.

Why would you continue to set the date from 8pm to 2am when your owners manual specifically says not to? Two things could possibly happen and both are bad. 1) The date wheel could become misaligned and your date will not change at around midnight any more and 2)You could damage the date mechanism. Now both of these things are not likely to happen, but they could.

Best practice is to not change the date between 8p and 2a. Any other time should be fine and not cause any problems.
