SMP, unique cleaning tip

Hey all,

I had to go back to my jeweler today, (for something else), and I was able to talk to the watch-guy while he was on break.

I asked him what's the best way to clean my SMP SS band, etc. He told me their unique solution -

To remove the normal gunk / oil residue, as well as keep the band clean and shiny: (Do every three months...)

1 Part "Simple Green Concentrate" (1 OZ)
30 Parts distilled (luke-warm) water (1 QT)

**Put this in a spray bottle (shake well)

You'll need:

1 Sponge (or toothbrush)
1 Bottle (spray or squeeze)

Clean with solution**

Rinse thoroughly with distilled water. (You can soak entire watch this time.)

Wipe off any excess moisture and wipe down with a lint-free cloth.

**NOTE: he does NOT recommend drowning the entire watch in the solution (e.g. a bowl) -- use a toothbrush (or a piece of sponge) to clean the band and the underside of the watch body.
