zOwie Omega Discussion Forum

50th Anniversary LE Speedmasters

It looks like Omega will be releasing five 50th anniversary limited editions of the Speedmaster. One is powered by the 1861, and the rest have a 3201 movement with a column wheel mechanism and the co-ax escapement. Here are links to the models on Omega's website:

I wish that Omega was releasing a version with the original 321 movement, but maybe Lemania doesn't have the capability to make it anymore. Or maybe Omega doesn't want to open a can of worms about what movement was truly worn on the moon! ;-)

I won't be buying any of the limited editions. I'm still as happy as a clam wearing my Sapphire Sandwich.
