Again, many thanks. I think Omega-wise I'm going to look for a nice vintage 861.

Mid-1970's (from about 1972 on) through the mid/late 1980's are probably the more economical choices, but recent models might be worth considering too.

I'm also looking at Heuer's, and while my heart says Siffert Autavia, my brain says, maybe a nice Cal 12 Carrera...or even a Camaro.

A Micro-rotor Carrera might not be cost prohibitive, Camaro prices are rising though.

That's a good Reilly column. Don't know if you remember, but ESPN the magazine made him a crazy offer, and SI matched it and gave him the slot to justify the money. He's a nice guy and I think he's really stepped up.

The only magazine I subscribe to is Autoweek, so I don't get out much when it comes to sports literature (save for the local papers), but that column was pointed out to me, and I love it.

I'm trying to keep this out of the realm of "collecting." Just buying and wearing.

GOOD LUCK!

The lack of closet space has kept my guitar habit in check, but there's no equivalent force to keep watch acquisition to a semi-reasonable level.

My dad collected cars. This is far easier to manage!

best

Allen

Cheers!
