Re: asking my AD to find for me this chrono 229680

Sorry, but that one is discontinued, and I couldn't find another 2 1/2 years ago after the first one I had broke three weeks after I got it.

If you really want one, you will have to buy used, and you really want to watch yourself because there are a lot of gray market dealers that "supposedly" will sell you one of these new (yeah, right!) or "never worn" (somebody spent $4 g's on a watch and never put it on??) or lightly used, or broken, or stolen, or you'll get a Timex with a dead battery instead.

If I were you, I would NOT buy from anybody that I physically wasn't close enough to to be able to look at the watch first, and also that ensures that if the dealer screws you, he has to deal with you in person.

It is possible that there may be one of these actually new running around Europe somewhere, and I actually ran across one in the Duty Free shop in the Munich Airport in May of 2005. On the same trip I ran across a 2298.80 in Sweden, and that's also discontinued.

Good luck, and like I said, do NOT try and get this watch from a total stranger on the internet!!
