New picture of 50th #ed LE movement should quash...

Well, I think this 50th numbered LE movement shot should eliminate any lingering doubt that it's a new version of the c.321:

That's exactly what I'd expect a rotorless c.33xx to look like right down to where the Rotor mechanisims would attach to...

Yep, the little bit of lingering hope I had for a new version of the c.321 is now quashed. Thanks for sharing the pics.

No problem, K. I wish I was wrong, In fact I do really wish I was wrong more often when it comes to these predictions... [sigh]

Well, the management at Omega is making the Military Intelligence unit in the Pentagon look good by comparison... (:{)

Ouch! Big Time OUCH! And people say I'm harsh!

Maybe Omega will tell us that getting rid of that nasty old automatic rotor fixed all the reported problems with the c. 33XX's reliability...

I already speculated that was one outcome from this!

A blown opportunity Posted By: CajunMike (pat.regencyhospital.com) Date: 4/11/07 18:50:36 GMT

Yes, it was a perfect opportunty to do something really big, and knock the ball out of the park. and it's was squandered.

Thanks Chuck,

Well, it appears that Omega has really screwed the pooch on the 50.

I suppose it's not a big surprise that Omega didn't put a lot of effort into their offerings. I guess they figure that "hey, we could have just put an anniversary back on it and be done with it, they should be greatful". But they could have done far more.

Maybe they will give it a little better thought on the 100.

One can only hope that they've gotten the current decisionmakers out the door by then and the company's still solvent.

Too bad we probably won't be around to see it.

I'd be 95 at the BaselWorld 2057. I don't think my body will hold out that long.

Heck I would have felt better if they would have slapped the co axial in the 1861. At least it would not have been that far off.

Or made a Titanium case, or a Straight lug cased, or a model based on the c.910 or c.911, or...

Their customers would be doing handstands for any of those...
