bad management makes always bad decisions
In Response To: A blown opportunity ()

Hi

I must say that I haven't been enamored with the management of Omega since 1985. But since the mass production of the 33xx which is a faulty caliber, I started to dislike the management more and more. Also Hayek stopped the production of the venerable 5100 which was a great and very sturdy caliber and now we can expect from him to ask Lemania to stop to sell the lemania 1873 to Omega.
I wouldn't be astonished of that decision. The lemania calibers including the lemania 2320, 1350 and 8810 are reserved to Breguet, none can ignore the cooperation between Omega and Lemania. But breaking it like this by sticking a poor reliability movement in the speedy pro was not the best decision. I am also fearing marketing hyped prices with watches fitted with this movement which is not proven.

just my honest opinion

regards

georges
