Probably a caliber 861
In Response To: Inquiry ()

Sounds like a caliber 861 which is supposedly the same caliber that was used on the moon. If you give a model # we can verify it for you.

Also, 1minute fast per day is excessive. For a non chronometer model +/- 15 seconds per day is probably about what you can expect, but a Speedy Pro should be able to be regulated pretty easily to +/-10 seconds.

Has the watch ever been serviced? A good overhaul by Omega(cost around $500), with 5-6 year service intervals afterwards should keep the watch running beautifully. It is afterall a mechanical watch and needs lubrication and periodic maintenance. With the ever increasing prices of Vintage speedy pro's, $500 is well worth the investment.

Post some pics too, that will help as well.
