Re: servicing omega
In Response To: Re: servicing omega ()

: Yes, Omega (non-US) repair centers have been
: highly acclaimed for their servicing. They
: re haul the movement and re-polish the
: bracelet and case. For a list of what they
: do with your $300 (it would cost a lot more
: to service a Rolex) go to:

: That's the general idea. Omega and Rolex are
: extreme competitors and lately Omega seems
: to be pounding on the Rolex door even harder
: now. They are almost regarded as
: equals...... With Omega being a lot cheaper
: though.

: Well.... Happy Birthday! Please inform us of
: your decision!

Thanks for the info I went and bought the Seamaster professional. I was just afraid of getting Omega since some people tell me they are no go and not as good as a Rolex. I guess I need to decide myself the cost is more afordable that is for sure. I compared the looks to the Rolex the salesperson was wearing and The weight and feel seemed to be the same. i like the Bracelet better on the SMP
