Need servicing info on seamaster

Recently I met a guy who was in the watch business and he told me a few things that I was not sure about. First he said that if the watch looses time but it is only a few sec, it does not need service, however gaining time is considered oposite. I just checked my watch against the official US atomic clock and I lost 2 sec in a ~30 hour period. I am pleased about this since I had the watch for 4 years now and never checked before. He also stated that the service will run me around $500. Where do you guys get your omegas serviced and how much does it cost. Mine is the seamaster bond auto. Thanks
