Vintage Omega "Genève" *PICLINKS*

Hi again,

as promised, here come the images of the vintage Omega from my grandfather; sadly, I have no other information except:
- it's an Automatic
- it reads "Genève" on the dial
- it was purchased somewhere between 1960 and 1970

To advance the date you have to make a full 24 hour turn, and if you happen to make a mistake you have to advance a whole month. So the pics were taken on the 17th although the date reads "18" because I didn't want to stress the movement.
If the hands were luminescent it surely vanished by now, the case and crystal are both quite scratched, but my grandpa used to wear it always, even during gardening, cleaning the pond and so on. So it was never really "out of danger" but somehow survived everything.

It's still keeping quite accurate time for its age, but I haven't figured out yet when as it seems to be a matter of moonphase, field lines and air pressure. One day it's +1 min, the other day -20 sec. It has been serviced, but not regulated.

If you have any additional information, please post it here; I already took a look at the vintage watch database on the Omege website, but they don't feature pictures for the Genève, and since I can't specify the serial or movement numbers, I always end up with 10+ entries.

I'll only post links to the pics to keep this posting clear.

Regards from Vienna/Austria,
Clemens
