Re: Help! My Vintage Omega Watch

To my knowledge, the only rectangular watches Omega makes today arer in the museum collection or the Deville X2, and they are all VERY expensive. $1600 sounds steep for restoration, but if you like this watch it is way cheaper than a new 'square' Omega.

There are a few alternatives you can consider for your money. For one, you can look on eBay for similar styled vintage Omegas that are in running order and may cost as little as $300-$500. Or, $1600 could fetch you a new quartz Omega or a like new automatic on the TZ sales corner, but they will probably have a round dial.

: Hello Don. Thanks for your opinions. This
: automatic omega watch was actually my dads.
: But thats not the reason why I'm thinking of
: restoring it. The main reason is I really
: like the design of it and I've always been
: drawn to square/rectangle shaped watch
: faces. The quote was expensive because
: oviously their factory don't make the parts
: anymore and they have to make it all
: individually. I was just wondering if I
: would be better off to just spend the money
: on a similar design and buy a New omega
: watch.
