Please tell me it isn't serious

Okay, I got a black omega seamaster quartz for my graduation.
I love watches, this is my first omega (and my most expensive watch thus far) and I certainly hope it won't be my last.

Now for my problem.
I treat this thing like gold; I want it to last a life time...sooo as a bit of a geek, I was polishing (within the first two weeks of owning it) and I noticed that the saphire is raised at one end of the crown, more so than the other. On one side it's perfactly smooth, while on the other side it is raised just enough to catch a fingernail on.

It doesn't effect the look of the watch at all, but I'm a bit obsessive, as you may have realized, and I know the defect is there, and it bothers me;
so I was wondering if this is normal, or if I should get this fixed, or if it is as serious as I'm making it out to be?

thank you for time

Simon
