Right now they have completely stopped production of it. There has been no "official" talk of upgrading this model to co-axial that I've heard of. I could be totally wrong on this, but I suspect that Omega sees the Planet Ocean as their more upscale, black-dialed diver's watch, so they don't really need to upgrade the 2254.50. Even if they did, it would still cost almost as much as a Planet Ocean, anyway.

With the Bond SMP, they had to either keep the curent model or upgrade it, since that watch has been such a huge seller, and it's the only standard diver's watch offered with that bracelet and dial color. Then, of course, there's the whole James Bond connection....
