I hate to sound like a jerk, but that was my tipping point (thought about it for almost a month) as to why I didn't drop the $2500 on the PO. I obsess about stuff like that and I am not sure why Omega decided to put the AR on the outside. The whole point of a saph crystal is to avoid scratches.

I settled on an Oris BC3 Plus instead, only cost me $715 for an automatic Swiss movement watch, has "similar" look to the PO (42mm, rubber strap, SS bezel, synth saph crystal, but also includes day along with date.). Great "jeans" watch. Only thing is the rubber gives off this "chocolate" smell I can't seem to wash out. I can imagine things that could be worse though!

Unfortunately, I don't think there is anything you can do about the AR scratches. See this link about halfway down...the reviewer comments on the same thing:
