Re: I finally bought an old Speedmaster

: Hi,

: Don't come here often but I am known to a few
: members, Hi Steve, Chuck..

: I have owned about 12 Speedmasters and while I
: love the bomb lug case of the final case I
: wondered about the simplicity of the
: straight lug no crown guards version.

: I managed to buy myself a really nice older
: version a month or so ago, see pics.

: It's had a Pusher replaced at one stage for one
: bigger and the crystal seems to have a
: shallower dome than I have seen. But the
: rest seems original.

: Serial puts it at 1965 but I would be
: interested to hear what people who are more
: familiar with this watch think?

: Cheers

: AListair

Alistair...With the exception of one pusher, that looks correct (and gorgeous) to me. If you look up a couple of threads, I have just started one with the "in-correct" version of your watch, or better put, your dial in a newer case. I think.

Anyway, enjoy that beautiful Speedmaster.

John
