Yes, its a scratch magnet, however Omega uses the same grade of steel that almost every major watch manufacturer uses. Its not the toughness, its more likely the finish method that they use. FWIW, Scotch brite pads work wonders on removing them from the clasp. Oh, and congrats on the watch. Its a great timepiece
