Doesn't surpise me. I can't explain it either. No doubt that the grade of steel in the Omega is either better or the same as the Seiko, but it scratches easier. Im no rocket scientist, but you would think it would be the other way around

Bingo, which is why most people don't own a fine timepiece. A $10 quartz timex will keep better time than any $1000 plus watch. Probably last as long too. Relax and enjoy your watch, scratches and all. After a while you will just learn to live with them. They add "character".
