ACCURACY TRENDS SMP 2254

Interested to know if anyone else has spotted this phenomenon...

Whilst I know that conventional wisdom dictates that we are not supposed to obsess about the accuracy of a mechanical, I find the following obervation interesting.

My 2254 normally averages out at running - 1 sec per day. 2 years old, never been opened...not too shabby at all.
But the strange thing is that, for a few days after I have re-set the time, that accuracy goes haywire. For 2 to 3 days after setting it, it runs at prob about -3.5/ -4 sec per day. Still essentially within COSC specs, sure, but then after about a week settles down to -1 sec per day again. Happens every time, so at least it is consistent!

Anyone else???
