Omega bought 46 items during the Omegamania auction, including the record price platinum Constellation.

Patrizzi is out at Antiquorum

Does anyone else think that the timing of the harsh moderating at TZ (owned by Antiquorum) had to do with 1) WSJ reporting or 2) Patrizzi's departure?

I'm disappointed, unsurprised and more than a little angry. But as I have said . . .

caveat emptor

An auction house is less ethical than a real estate agent -- the auction house has no responsibility as it gets paid by both sides of the transaction. You can sue a real estate agent -- they only get paid by one side. You can't (easily) sue an auction house, who make essentially no guarantees.

Before bashing Omega too much, remember Patek and Rolex have done the same thing (except Rolex won't admit it as they don't do interviews unless they can control the outcome)
