Blue "Bond" Seamaster to be Discontinued!!??!!??

I everyone. This is my first post here :-)

Without furhter intro, I am consdiering purchase of a "Bond" automatic Seamaster. I fell in love with the watch before learning of the "Bond" connection but can just now possibly afford one. I heard about the upcoming price incrase, which my AD says will be 5% across the board (in the US) and is a force pushing me to buy now.

The surprise to me was he said Omega is discontinuing the blue Omega Speedmaster and supplies are likely to run out by year end (depending on holiday sales volume, etc.). WOW!!! This would be the end of an era and I am surprised, given the market success of the blue "Bond" watch, that it would be discontinued.

Anyone else heard/can verify this?
