Education and "buy the seller"

Before you buy a watch, you should educate yourself . . . .

Here's a few items on our site that will help you even now regarding your watch . . .

For information regarding the Seamaster line and the Bond connection (a bit out of date, but still relevant).

If you are really troubled, check our Counterfeit Watchers forum and an example of most fakes is there . . . .

For advice generally about making purchases, this series of articles about Collecting are invaluable, stored on our Heuer informational website On The Dash, and were written by our owner and one of our moderators:

The most important single piece of advice is to "Buy the Seller". You can figure out some information from looking at photos and descriptions, but ultimately, you are trusting the individual you are buying from to tell you what you are buying. Others have likely purchased from this individual beforehand, so ask them what their experience was like.

At this point, unless you are going to send the watch back, just enjoy it -- what's done is done.
