Re: Sending Speedy back to Bienne

: Why send to switzerland? you have loads of talented watch repairers
: in your own country(i'm located in the uk)If it is a newish
: speedy or of a popular model spares are available to any
: registered watch maker and indeed your watch may only need
: servicing/regulating.If the watch head and case needs
: refurbishing most good watch makers will do this too.I have
: never sent a watch to switzerland I have heard of astronomic
: charges as well of long waiting times.Just my pennies worth of
: rambling.

I'm starting to think that too, also rather not deal with customs and wait for months to get it back. I've been looking at some old posts and have come up with a few possible repairmen: WatchMaker Dave, RGM Watch, Shane Ede. Any more good recommendations in the US?
I'm not sure of the repair history of my Speedster, I bought it used on eBay awhile back, so I'm figuring it probably needs a good tune-up and oil change. Maybe I'll just take it out to the garage and spray Gumout into it? Just kidding.
