Re: Omega Seamaster Professional Quartz Info

Dear Juan:

Thanks for sharing the experience with your quartz SMP. I've gotten 2nd, 3rd, 4th ..... etc opinions from owners, and all of them are VERY positive. After searching some more, I did find some info on the battery, but nothing specific and detailed on the quartz movement (a scan would be great).

It is definitely good news when you are refering to the movement as being thermo compensated (TC). Out of curiosity - from what source did you obtain that information? If your watch runs barely .5 secs fast in 3 months, IT HAS GOT TO BE TC. Even the watches that are explicitely marketed as being TC, don't match the accuracy of your watch or Linq's or others I have spoken with.

After gathering lots of info and MANY opinions, I have learned that all the owners agree on the quality of this SMP. To keep it brief, I ordered one today from my friendly dealer and got a very good price. No need to go gray. It will arrive next friday, just in time for a week long diving trip.

Thanks again Juan
