tag heuer/ashford.com

I am considering buying a TAG HEUER 6000, ss/gold from ashford.com and just so happen to live in Houston, TX. Which of course means that I have the luxury of driving to ashford.com's retail store and viewing the actual item I want to purchase. Upon doing so, some discrepancies raised questions that I am having trouble getting answered.

I have looked at this exact same watch at multiple authorized deals and on every one of them the TAG HEUER logo on the dial was gold. At ashford.com the logo is black. Same thing goes for the hands. Also, i flipped the watch over and it does not have the engraving "waterresistant...tested" on the back.

I spoke briefly with an official TAG HEUER USA sales person and she said that she was not aware of variations such as these in watches manufactured by TAG HEUER.

Does anyone have any information on this subject? Is anyone aware if such variations are legit? I have never shopped at ashford.com before and am wondering if their TAG HEUERs are authentic.
Thanks
