Speedmaster Mark Bracelets Posted By: John Kennedy

Can someone please confirm the correct bracelet and endpieces for the Mark II and the correct bracelet and endpieces for the Mark IV?

Original, no. Well, I probably still have an original Mark II bracelet on my unaltered Red/Orange, but it's one of the Mexican made bracelets... Which I personally consider only somewhat above junk. I feel they are over fussy, not especially sturdy [due to the intricate nature of the 5-piece links] and I can only rarely find them the right length or enough pieces and parts to get them to fit me.

Secondly, There are no end pieces for any of the Mark Series watches, and I'm including the "So-Called Mark 4.5", unless you want to talk about the "Mark 40" as some of the Japanese sites/collectors/books/magazines refer to certain models. All of the Mark's take straight ended bracelets [save for the Mark V which has an integrated bracelet], unless one counts the Cushion Cased Seamaster style Mark III"s which I frankly am not certain that those cushion cased models aren't just redialed Seamasters. I mean who'd know [ok, except for Marco Richon, John Diethelm and the rest of OVI].

Here is what I have my Mark Series watches on [look in the Notes section]:

If, John, you're looking for the correct original bracelet for a 176.007 [which is the cushion Case c.1040 Seamaster, the bracelet for them is a 1170 with the 653 end pieces as per Colin's post over at our good friend's at WUS's Omega Forum:
My 176.007 finally found a bracelet!:

Depending on the lug width, that same bracelet with the same [or properly sized end pieces] would also fit c.321 and c.861 Cushion Cased Seamasters of similar appearance...
145.xxx where xxx = 016, 019, 020 and 029 in order from top to bottom...

Also - Does the bracelet for the 176.0012 (Mark 4.5) have a number or is it just known as the "Made in Mexico" bracelet.

Typically they came on Mexican made bracelets in my experience.

Chuck...I am looking in your general direction. :)

Such is my lot in life!

Thanks a bunch.

I hope this helps! Good hunting, and as you can see I'm in the market for several 1170/653 bracelets! [and I own a pair of 176.007's like Colin's which need them too!]

John
